• The Ontario Berry Growers Association is a provincial organization, which represents strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, currant, gooseberry and other berry growers by funding industry promotion and research activities. All facets of the berry industry (wholesale, retail, pick-your-own, and roadside market) are represented by the Ontario Berry Growers Association.

  • Our voluntary membership is currently 200 plus growers who produce 80% of the berry crops grown in Ontario. The OBGA also encourages Corporate Memberships to companies associated with the berry industry.  The current estimated farm gate value is in excess of $25,000,000. This does not include value added products or supplies.

  • Its purpose is to:  Foster, encourage, and promote all activities to the advancement of the Berry Industry in Ontario;  And to:  Foster, encourage, and promote better cultural/harvesting and marketing practices through research and extension experts, and through variety rights and patents.

  • The OBGA has created this website to give berry lovers in Ontario helpful information on farm fresh Ontario Berries; Strawberries,  Raspberries,  (large crops for Ontario Agriculture), Gooseberries,  Blueberries,  Currants and other berry crops.  It also provides up-to-date information on Pick Your Own Berry Farms and Fun Farms and Farm Markets.

  • The Ontario Berry Growers Association also provides berry lovers with other sources of information on Ontario Berries. 

  • Interested consumers can also inquire at their local berry farms.   After all who knows the answers better than the berry growers!  The farms offer information on picking storing preparing and serving berries.
